Talius Zip Motors MO-2250 & MO-2225

With the spring season right around the corner, Talius Habitat Screens are the perfect pairing to your outdoor patio for shading, UV protection and keeping unwanted bugs out. Our screens are powered by our powerful Zip motor which are crafted specifically for use with our screens! These compact and lightweight radio motors boast obstacle-sensing capabilities, setting a new standard for convenience and control.

In our quest for excellence, we conducted rigorous testing to compare Zip Motors with Somfy’s RTS motors. The results were nothing short of remarkable. While Somfy’s RTS motors demonstrated communication with the roll shutter at a maximum distance of 110 feet, our new Talius motors showcased consistent correspondence at an extended range of 240 feet. This twofold improvement in range reception streamlines the control process for even the most expansive projects, providing enhanced control capabilities across the entire site.

Our testing methodology included evaluating both motors across lines A and B, each presenting different obstacles. Line A traversed one wooden wall and one 10-foot thick brick wall, while Line B passed through two 10-inch thick brick walls. Despite these challenging conditions, Talius Zip Motors excelled.

Among the standout features of Zip Motors is their advanced obstacle detection capability. Enabled with the option to sense obstacles in both the Up and Down directions, these motors offer enhanced safety and peace of mind. Unlike Somfy RTS motors, Zip Motors are less sensitive to obstructions, ensuring they do not kick in unnecessarily. In the event of detecting an obstacle, the motor will retract and make another attempt once the obstruction has cleared, making it ideal for areas prone to gusting winds.

Additionally, Zip Motors feature a separate antenna from the wiring, allowing for greater flexibility in cable management without compromising reception. Available in two sizes (10Nm and 50Nm), the size provided is dependent upon the size and weight of the Habitat Screen it is installed into. This ensures optimal performance and efficiency tailored to your specific needs. While they do not come with manual override options like some alternatives, their sleek design, easy installation, and 24-foot cable make them a standout choice for modern applications.

With Talius Zip Motors, experience a new level of convenience, reliability, and control for your Habitat Screens. Join us in embracing innovation and redefining the future of motorized solutions.
